Who we hire is based upon several written tests for knowledge and aptitude as well as character traits and skill.

Each applicant must have a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.
All must be US citizens and or have a valid work visa.
Each employee must pass the extensive background check
All employees sign and vow to uphold a standard of conduct handbook.
Coastal Service and Supply, Inc. has developed a system that tests the applicants mechanical aptitude with written exams, and we test their knowledge of generators and electrical motors during the application process.
Each applicant must pass an extensive background check, and when hired they become E-verified through the government website. Each hired employee is run through a separate background check through the Pinellas County Sheriff's office. The sheriff's department conducts their own background check before they will let any of our personnel onsite.
Each applicant goes through two interviews. The first interview is informal and everyone fills out an application. Only a select number of candidates will be brought back for a second interview. The two interviews are designed to present a similar question in several different ways. Great care goes into the hiring process.
All applicants are graded on the same scale. We add up what their scores were on the mechanical aptitude test and the written parts identification test. We only hire those most likely to succeed. Not everyone makes it past the 90 day probationary period.
We evaluate employees during their probationary period. Rookies are given a service evaluation in the field after 30 days of performing preventive maintenance services. We focus on what they don't know and provide training where they need it the most. After 60 days we do the service evaluation again to determine if they will stay part of our expert team.
