Should you Replace or Repair Your Pump or Generator System?

Maintenance is an essential part of pump and generator service.  Replacing or rebuilding worn components will relieve stress on the other components of the system.  Proper maintenance greatly improves pump system reliability and reduces down time of the equipment. 

Replacement of pumps, generators, controllers or transfer switches, should be considered when: repairs cost are over 50% of the cost a new unit. When obsolescence of parts inhibits repairs, a new unit is advisable. Especially if the lead-time for replacement is so long it would cripple the operation of a building or plant if in the event a catastrophic failure occurred.
